Who runs euribor-rates.info
euribor-rates.info is an independent reference site. There is no bank, broker or financial intermediary behind it, and it is not affiliated with the European Money Markets Institute (EMMI), the European Central Bank or the Bank of Finland. Its only purpose is to publish the official Euribor fixings with the context a mortgage holder needs.
Why it exists
Anyone with a variable-rate mortgage in the euro area needs one number a few times a year, and needs to understand what that number does to their instalment. The official sources publish the figure but little context; commercial sites surround it with advertising, forecasts and offers. The aim here is narrower: to show the official fixings and averages with a clear explanation of how they are used in each country's mortgage market, written in that country's own language and vocabulary rather than translated from a single template.
How it is built
The site started in 2025 as a WordPress site. In 2026 it was rebuilt as a static site generated by an automated pipeline. Each business day the pipeline fetches the previous day's fixings from the Bank of Finland, checks them against a set of validation rules, cross-checks monthly averages against the ECB Data Portal, and rebuilds every page. The database currently spans 2 January 2006 to 4 September 2026.
No data is ever edited by hand. If a figure is wrong, it is wrong at the source or in the fetch, and the fix is to fetch it again; nobody types numbers into this site. The explanatory text, on the other hand, was written once and is maintained by hand, so corrections to it are welcome.
What it is not
The site does not give financial advice, does not recommend banks or products, and does not forecast rates. The page titled "forecast" shows implied forward rates computed from the day's curve with the formula in view, which is a description of today's prices, not a prediction.
