What is processed, and why
Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare records standard technical data about each request, including the IP address, the requested page, the time, the browser identification string and the referring page, in order to deliver the site, protect it against abuse and produce aggregate traffic statistics. Legal basis: the legitimate interest of operating and securing a website.
Google Analytics 4. With your consent, the site loads Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. Analytics records which pages are visited, in what order, from which country and on what type of device, and assigns a random identifier stored in a cookie to distinguish returning visits. It is used solely to understand which pages are useful and in which languages. Legal basis: consent, given through the consent banner and revocable at any time. Analytics does not load before consent is given.
Contact e-mails. If you write to team@voittovirta.com, your address and the content of your message are stored in the mailbox for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of any data correction you reported. Legal basis: the legitimate interest in answering correspondence.
The site sets no cookies of its own, and it does not collect names, account details or any financial information. There are no user accounts.
Retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Cloudflare log data is retained according to Cloudflare's own retention periods for the service tier used. E-mails are kept as long as needed for the correspondence and are deleted on request.
Recipients
Data is processed by Cloudflare (hosting and delivery) and, after consent, by Google (analytics). Both act as processors under their standard terms and may transfer data outside the EEA under the safeguards those terms provide. No personal data is sold, rented or shared with advertisers, and none is shared with any bank or financial institution. If advertising is enabled on the site in future, the cookie policy and the consent banner will be updated first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to the personal data held about you, for its correction or erasure, for restriction of processing, and for a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent to analytics at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer, which reopens the consent banner, or by deleting the cookies in your browser. Requests can be sent to team@voittovirta.com.
If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. You can address it to the data protection authority of your own country of residence; you may also contact the authority in your own country of residence.
Consent management
Visitors from the European Economic Area are shown a consent banner from a certified consent management platform before any analytics or advertising script loads. Your choice is recorded and can be changed at any time from the link in the footer.
Changes
This notice is updated when the processing changes. The date at the top of the page is the date of the last revision.
